Randy and Brenda Purcell

Serving in Guatemala

Randy and Brenda Purcell moved to Guatemala from Indianapolis, Indiana, in October of 1998. Their primary role is Missionary Ventures Directors for Central & Southern Guatemala. Randy and Brenda oversee Pastor Sponsorship programs, Feeding Center Programs and other developmental projects in Guatemala. There are currently fifteen feeding center locations throughout Guatemala.

The Purcells assist pastors and Christian leaders through practical ways such as fundraising, work teams (construction, evangelism, medical, youth, etc.) and supplies and equipment. The Purcells facilitate ISOM Bible schools programs for pastors and leaders in the interior of the country where continuing Bible education is desperately needed but difficult to find. The Purcells are using evangelistic films in remote areas as another way to help pastors reach the lost. Brenda also hosts a monthly pastors’ wives meeting in their home in addition to the monthly pastors’ breakfast held in the capitol city.

Ministry focus/Current Projects: Our desire is to continue in the direction that MV has established in Guatemala in the last 23 years of ministry here. At the same time realizing that God is not limited to what has been done before and is constantly watching over the needs of His Church in Guatemala. We commit to doing our best to discern the changing needs of the Body of Christ and the needs of the pastors and Christian leaders working here in Guatemala to spread the Gospel.
