Pastor Sponsorships: The sponsorship of an indigenous pastor liberates him so that he can preach the Gospel, evangelize a community, start a fellowship and develop a church.

BIBLE SCHOOLS

One of the best investments we can make with our missions giving is in the area of training and equipping indigenous pastors and Christian workers. Indigenous workers best understand the cultural mindset of their fellow countrymen and the hindrances that keep them from embracing the gospel. When they are trained and equipped with the Word of God they can multiply themselves over and over again, thus multiplying the effectiveness of our missions investment. Therefore, MVI has a strong commitment to training indigenous pastors and Christian workers. But within the 10/40 window and beyond, we are finding that many who feel called to the work of the ministry have no organized training available to them; either due to financial or denominational limitations. MVI seeks to offer training across denomination lines; at no cost to the students. We have teachers, curriculum, and numerous opportunities where the need is great. It is only the lack of financial resources that hinders us from furthering our Bible Training Center program. By investing in the training of an indigenous leader you can truly make a difference in God’s Kingdom, and perhaps help change the course of a nation. For more information on our leadership-training program contact the MVI office.

PASTOR SPONSORSHIP

Just $50 a month is all it takes. Indigenous pastors need so little to get started. Sponsorship of indigenous pastors is one of the best investments we can make in missions! You can help an indigenous pastor reach out to his own hurting people with the love and message of Christ.
MVI’s Field Coordinators identify indigenous pastors and leaders for sponsorship that God has called after living with and observing the fruit of the pastors’ work. The indigenous Christian leader is then financially sponsored for one year. In most cases, a church will be established within a year or two that will fully support their pastor. The need for support will be evaluated yearly. If the pastor’s church is unable to provide support for him and his family, then the goal will be to help that pastor set up a small business or microenterprise to generate an income that will support his family.
These pastors will be from countries all over the world. You will see the many ways your money has enabled these pastors to harvest the field God has given them. We encourage you to plan a trip to meet some of these indigenous pastors and their congregations. You will be greatly blessed and see firsthand what a difference your prayers and financial assistance are making.
What will you get for your investment?

  • A Preacher of the Gospel
  • A Teacher of the Bible
  • A Discipler of Christians
  • A Social Worker to an impoverished community
  • An Aid Representative
  • A Focal Point of Hope through Jesus to the community

Why Pastor Sponsorship is such a good investment…

  • They know the culture, can speak the language fluently, and can better relate the love and message of Christ to their own people.
  • They can eat the food and drink the water without fear of illness.
  • They don’t need a visa and there are fewer political restraints.
  • They can move with ease among their own tribes and villages, and if foreign missionaries are expelled, they can stay.

Child Sponsorships: The sponsoring of children enables MVI to fund the establishment of ministries to impoverished, starving, ill or orphaned children. The sponsorship funds are pooled with the rest of the children sponsored from the ministry to guarantee the overall budget for the ministry. Examples of the different ministries are: Orphanages, Christian schools and daycare centers.
MVI also runs Feeding Centers. In many developing countries there are thousands of abandoned children who live on the street. Feeding programs are established in local churches.
Each month a Child of the Month postcard is sent to each of our sponsors. The postcard highlights a child each month and explains how the sponsorships is helping them.
In an effort to reach out with the medical needs of impoverished communities, MVI helps to develop hospitals and clinics. Donated medical supplies enable us to give outpatient care at very low costs, most of the time for a few pennies per patient.

CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS

Did you know some children are not able to go to school because they cannot afford the tuition or appropriate clothes? In many areas, schools don’t even exist. Some of the schools are running on double sessions, maximizing the facilities. Many classes are without books in one or more subjects. Missionary Ventures International is building several Christian schools each year at a cost of approximately $50,000 each. The investment you make can change a country. These schools are central to the development of future leaders. We invite you to consider giving a one- time gift or begin a monthly sponsorship for schools in impoverished countries. It is a gift that will impact the life of a child and their community.

FEEDING CENTER

Children are the future of their communities.

Feeding Centers are set up in local churches, administered by the pastor, run by the church members and supported through your sponsorship. Three hundred dollars per month enables local churches to feed three hot, nutritious meals a week to fifty or more starving children in their community. After the meal they hear about Jesus. Returning to their homes of tin and cardboard, they tell their parents what they have learned about the good news of Jesus.

Make an investment in these children’s future… Missionary Ventures International’s primary goal in supporting feeding centers is to share the love and message of Jesus Christ with the children that come for food. We want to give them eternal food as well as physical food. Jesus is truly the answer to these children’s needs. Everyone in the community is touched by the feeding center. It is a beautiful example of the love of Christ reaching out to hungry people.

A little goes a long way… A start up cost of $600 is needed to purchase a cooking burner, pots and pans for food preparation, eating utensils and flannel boards to aid in telling the children about Jesus.

You can visit a feeding center… Missionary Ventures International welcomes your personal involvement in “Carrying the WORD to the world”. Call the Missionary Ventures International office for information about going on a team trip and ministering to the needs of the children in these feeding centers.

Children are being helped. Families are being touched. Communities are being transformed. The world is being impacted by you.

General Funds: Funding that helps us to “fill the holes” in the different ministries of MVI. These funds are designated “where needed most”. Each month they are used in different aspects of the mission to fulfill obligations not met through sponsorship or designated giving.
