Heat is a Luxury

Article submitted by Norb & Julie Kurrle, Field Coordinators in Paraguay It’s been cold here the last few days and today we woke up to about 0 degree celcius.  We’re giving our new wood burning stove a work out; yesterday we kept it burning all day!  While we are thankful for a cozy home, the [...]

mv300

Will you be part of the mv300?

Missionary Ventures is reaching the world for Jesus Christ. We have grown from a mission taking short-term trips from Florida to Guatemala into a world-wide mission with seven international offices and over 80 missionaries on the field. We are sending out new missionaries from the Orlando office. We are expecting the other MV offices to be sending out hundreds of missionaries in the future. Yet, at the same time we continue to channel 95% of the missionaries’ support to them, and we use only 9% of our total revenue for administration and fund raising.

What would you do during these difficult times? We have prayed, prayed, fasted, and prayed some more. Through our prayers, we believe God is calling us to raise up an army of valiant partners, committed to supporting this ministry monthly in finances and prayer.  In Judges chapter seven, Gideon (a member of the weakest tribe of Judah) had too many volunteers. To make sure God would get all the glory, God led Gideon in an exercise to choose 300 committed leaders with a strategy to bring victory and to make sure that all their dependence would be on God and not man.

As a ministry, we have streamlined and made cuts to help ride out this financially stressful time, but we need 300 monthly supporters who will give $50 to $100 a month to support this work. Like Gideon, we realize that a few (300) committed leaders can be the vehicle for sending God’s love to a hurting world. We also realize God could use someone or something else to provide for His work, yet if He is choosing you, your prayers and partnership are needed now more than ever. Will you prayerfully consider becoming an mv300 partner? If you cannot support us monthly at this time, please pray with us about this army of valiant partners.

If you join this special group, you will receive a refrigerator magnet to use as a reminder to pray for Missionary Ventures and a monthly letter of encouragement highlighting how your partnership is making a difference in the lives of others.
