Kindergarten Opens at Blacksands, Vanuatu

Article submitted by MVAustralia Staff

We have partnered with History Makers Church in Port Vila to help establish a church at Blacksands, a slum community near Port Vila.

In a recent email received from Pastor Zebedee Tanga, he writes, “Great and excited Monday morning to see our kindergarten at Blacksand started with 22 wonderful children enjoying their first day in school without their parents. Thank you Missionary Ventures Australia for helping us to make this a reality to the community and family at Blacksand. What a wonderful and awesome God we serve.”

Through Pastor Zebedee of History Makers Church, MVAustralia is now working at establishing a small church building on Pele Island, a small island off the north coast of Efate, Vanuatu’s main island. It is anticipated that the church will help bring the community together by providing a communal place of worship. It is expected that the church building with a simple corrugated roof would also provide a valuable rainwater collection site for the community.
