Missionary Ventures is involving People to Impact Nations for Christ

Well this is my first ever blog. God has been showing me this week that this ministry is not ours at all but His. I’ve come to realize that it’s not that I work for God but He really wants to work for me. I just have to allow Him. It’s interesting to me that our ministry has over 109 missionaries on the field working in 70 countries plus an army of Nationals who are in the trenches every day being His heart, His hands, His feet to a world who needs Him. They have surrendered everything, sell all their possessions and live in difficult conditions, and many time suffer incredible hardships. Yet they continue day in and day out to share God’s love by listening, teaching, disciplining, preaching and bringing the healing touch of Jesus. It is not without sacrifice. There is much opposition and evil to the Gospel. Why ? Why day in and day out do all of us lay down our dreams, our desires, our plans, and go and minister where often we are not accepted and usually mocked ? WE realize we are not the master of ourselves. We open up our lives and resources to God’s control and to the call of God on our lives. Every day we are ready to respond to the burdens that He places on our hearts. It’s His ministry, His calling, and He really does want to work for us. His goal is for every person to have a relationship with His Son. He calls us all separately uniting us around this common goal. God is the one who calls and we work unto HIm. WE are to rely on God, trust in God, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform people’s hearts to grow towards God. Today I am going to let God work for me. I am going to rest in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. This rest is our source of strength in fullfilling the call of God on our lives.
