Precious Water

Carrying the filters an hour to the village

Carrying the filters an hour to the village

Imagine that the only water you had available to you was from a creek that everyone washed in, washed clothes, that when it rained defecation ran into it and there were loads of parasites living in it. When I was approached last year about the idea of providing clean water for communities, I said what a great idea. Little did I know all that is involved in providing the best possible water filtration process for the communities.

Mike Beadle (from Bradford, Ontario, Canada) and a team from Victory Baptist (Newmarket, Ontario, Canada) had a vision to learn about a water filtration process. When he puts his heart into something nothing can stop him. A community of 12 homes was found. They were eager to have good water. The people listened intently to the teaching about sanitation and how to care for the filter. When the team returned the last day one family had started using the water and said that it tasted so good.

This is going to be an ongoing project. We are looking for someone to be able to provide outhouses for this community in order to greatly improve their living and health conditions. There are monthly inspections of the filters and continued education.
