Short-Term Teams in Ecuador

Article submitted by Don & Mary Wolfram, Field Coordinators in Ecuador

The Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) youth team came down the first week in June and blessed a Shuar Indian pastor with a new Honda 200 XLS so that he could move efficiently on the back roads between the 5 churches he is responsible for.  Thanks CMA and your “Run for the Son” motorcycle program!

The CMA youth team then worked hard all week building an obstacle course for a summer youth camp for street kids from a jungle provence and the surrounding area.  They cut jungle, hauled huge logs and rocks, dug holes, lifted giant poles and created some incredible obstacles.  Thanks CMA youth!

The team also built relations with the CEMIM students, several Shuar Indian villages local Christian youth. Favorite activities outside work were – soccer, river cliff jumping & swimming, lively praise & worship jam sessions and lots of just hanging out youth style!

Fourteen CEMIM students and leaders joined the CMA youth and 3 leaders from a new partner “Vida Joven”. It’s all about serving the King and networking our students, their churches and mission teams in our common goal of furthering the Kingdom of God.  This is Andres Yankur and his wife – one of our CEMIM students along with his 43 brothers.

You bless us so much with your financial support and your prayer support. We can feel it big time!
