Nicaragua: Summer 2010
This project is a combination of building construction and ministry to a local rural Nicaraguan Evangelical congregation. The church shown below, La Iglesia Nueva Vida (New Life Church), is in the barrio of Mirazul de Llano between the towns of San Marcos and Masatepe in the department of Carazo in Nicaragua. The spiritually hungry congregation in this poor rural community church is filled to the brim and praying for expansion.
They have purchased stone bricks to expand possibly another 20 feet in width. A construction team could easily complete this project within a few days. Other items needed for completion may be cement, paint, a window for the windowless building, and light fixtures.
A week of construction ministry could also include a vacation Bible school for the rural community. The church has a soccer field which could provide opportunities for youth activities. Other methods of discipleship teaching could also be offered during a short term mission.
Please consider this project which would bless this small congregation’s ability to reach out to the community. A gospel-minded North American church would also be blessed in forming a relationship with this precious church family.
