Types of Team Trips

What types of Short-term Mission Teams are there?

Great question! Short-term mission trips can take many forms, but all are designed to share and show the love of Christ in tangible means.  Through our involvement, our desire is to not only to see lives changed by the gospel, but to also support, encourage and increase the IMPACT, that our teams can have on the  partnerships that our missionaries have formed with local pastors and leaders.

With these things in mind, a short-term mission trip can be one or a combination of the following:

  • Evangelism Team – primary focus is evangelism
  • Adventure Team – Can be any type of team, i.e. medical, construction, evangelism, etc.  It is a more rugged team usually involving more strenuous activity.
  • Gift Bag Team -  is a collection of small freezer bags full of toiletries and simple toys taken to needy children in desperate situations around the word.
  • Medical Team – primary focus is diagnosing and administering medicine to the sick
  • Automotive Team – primary focus is the diagnosis and repair of missionary and approved leader’s automobiles
  • Construction Team – primary focus is construction of churches, clinics, schools, shelters, and homes
  • Youth Team – primary focus is youth working with youth
  • Prayer Team – primary focus is personal ministry in churches, clinics, schools, homes, and streets
  • Teaching/Equipping Team – primary focus is to develop, train, and teach indigenous people principles of life and ministry, equipping for micro-business, and training for pastors
  • Relief Team – primary focus is to provide immediate relief to those suffering from a catastrophe
  • Scout/Pioneer Team – primary focus is to assist missionaries and approved leaders venture into unreached people groups to investigate short-term and long-term ministry opportunities
  • Vision Team – primary focus is to introduce foreign missions to travelers who want to personally experience and witness missions around the world. At the same time giving us an opportunity to open new doors for partnerships in unreached areas.
  • CMA Team – primary focus is to encourage members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association to experience evangelistic missions in a foreign country while celebrating the giving of motorcycles to selected and approved indigenous pastors and leaders.
  • Threads of Hope Team – primary focus is to provide sewing equipment and training to indigenous peoples so as to enable them to provide for themselves and their families
